SBI Digital transactions alert! Keep these things in mind of SBI while doing digital transactions, your bank account will be safe from hackers

SBI has shared a Digital Security Guidelines with its customers. It explains what they should and should not do to keep digital transactions safe.


New Delhi. In view of the increasing fraud in digital transactions, the safety of the customers is very important. Keeping this in mind, the country’s largest bank SBI has prepared a digital security guideline. This guideline has been shared by the bank with its customers.

If you also have an account with State Bank of India (SBI), then it is important to know what you should and should not do to keep digital transactions safe. Keeping these things in mind while making digital banking, digital transactions, online payments, you can keep your account safe from hackers.

Login security
First you have to login for digital transaction. This is password protected. So keep a password which is more difficult. Keep changing the password from time to time. Apart from this, do not share your user ID, password or PIN information with anyone. It is important to know here that the bank never asks you for user ID, password, PIN, CVV, OTP or card number information. Never store the User ID and Password on your computer, mobile or tab. It is better to keep the auto save or remember function disabled in your device.

Internet Security
Always pay attention to https while opening the bank’s website. Apart from this, avoid online transactions using Wi-Fi networks in public places. Always log out and close the browser if you are finished.

UPI Security
Always keep your mobile PIN and UPI PIN separate. Do not respond to any unknown UPI request. Always report suspicious requests. If any transaction has taken place without your knowledge, then deactivate the UPI service immediately.

Card security
Keep an eye on ATM machines or POS devices while transacting with debit or credit cards. Be careful while entering the PIN and keep the keypad covered. Do the transaction done through debit card only through online banking and make sure to check the authenticity of the one you are paying. Set a limit for the transactions done with the card.

Mobile banking
Always enable strong password and biometric permission for mobile banking. Do not share your mobile PIN with anyone. If you use biometric authentication then it will be better in terms of security. Avoid downloading unknown apps and using Wi-Fi networks in public places.

Social media security
Always verify the identity of the person you are talking to on social media. Do not discuss or share your personal financial and confidential information on any social media platform.
