SBI-State Bank of India: The country’s largest state-run bank State Bank of India has issued a notice for its customers.



SBI in its notice has appealed to the customers to link their Aadhaar card and PAN as soon as possible. The bank said that the last date for linking Aadhar card and PAN card (PAN) is 30 September. That is, link Aadhaar and PAN card before 30 September. SBI further said that if customers do not do this then they will not be able to enjoy seamless banking service.

The last date for linking PAN with Aadhaar is 30 September. If you do not link Aadhaar with PAN within the stipulated time, then your PAN card will be deactivated. Income Tax has made it mandatory to link PAN card with Aadhaar. The last date for linking CBDT PAN card with Aadhaar card was earlier 30 June. But later it was extended.

If you do not link your PAN card with Aadhaar, then you can also be fined up to a maximum of Rs 1,000 under section 234H. Therefore, all banks are advising their customers to link Aadhaar with PAN.

Aadhaar and PAN can be linked in two ways. You can link both the cards either through SMS or by visiting the website of Income Tax Department.



You can also link your PAN with Aadhaar through SMS. For this, you have to type UIDPN in capital letter in your SMS box. After this type your 12 digit Aadhaar number by giving space and then 10 digit PAN number by giving space. Send this SMS to 567678 or 56161.
