The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the creation of a National Recruitment Agency (NRA) to conduct a general eligibility test for central government jobs. Students preparing for government jobs will now have to take a general examination instead of many different exams. Candidates will be admitted on the basis of this NRA exam score in state government jobs. The NRA will have representatives from Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Finance / Department of Financial Services, SSC, RRB and IBPS. Now there will be a single recruitment exam for all these recruitment, which will clear the students to proceed in the recruitment process.
