Canada-based musician Gurpinder Pal Singh shared a video of him greeting Santa in Punjabi.


During Christmas, it is very common to see people dressed as Santa Claus. Canada-based musician Gurpinder Pal Singh shared a video of one such person greeting Santa in Punjabi. The man dressed as Santa with a snowy white beard welcomed Gurpinder with the traditional Sikh greeting: “Sat Shri Akal, Ki Haal Aa (How are you)?”. Saying this he also folded his hands.

When Gurpinder replied in Punjabi, ‘Bahut wadiya (very good)’, the man dressed as Santa said, ‘Wadiya, ok a (good, okay)’. While sharing the clip, Gurpinder wrote in the caption, “Santa from Surrey Nagar.”

This video, shared on Instagram last week, has been viewed more than 1 million times. Meanwhile, social media users were happy to see the clip. An Instagram user commented, “Punjabi Santa Claus.” Another user commented, “OMG this is so cute… God bless this Santa.” The viral video also forced many people to laugh.
