According to the news of PTI, this year it is expected to be an average of 9 percent. This was stated in the 26th wage increase survey by Mercer and Aon on Wednesday.

Average salary hike across all industries in 2022

According to the news, this survey related to remuneration was done among 988 companies, whose total number of employees is more than 14 lakhs. These companies are related to sectors like consumer goods, life science and technology. Mansi Singhal, Senior Principal, Rewards Consulting Leader India, said that a particularly positive thing is that companies are giving incentives similar to those before the pandemic and in 2022, an average salary hike across industries is expected to be around 9 percent. He said that this indicates positive economic and business trends.

Reach a five-year high

Aon’s 26th wage hike survey has said that the country’s salary hike will hit a five-year high of 9.9 per cent this year amid a strong recovery in corporate financials and positive business sentiment. According to the survey, amidst positive business sentiment, companies are planning to invest in new-age capabilities to build a combative workforce.

Salary hike will be 9.9 percent in 2022

According to the 26th salary hike survey by Aon, a leading global professional services company in India, organizations across sectors believe that the salary hike will be 9.9 percent in 2022. In 2021 it was 9.3 percent. Based on analysis of data from 1,500 companies in over 40 industries, the survey said that the industries with the highest projected salaries include e-commerce and venture capital, life sciences including hi-tech/information technology and IT enabled services (ITES).
