Salary Grade Pay: Orders have been issued to provide financial upgradation under MACPS. Now the employees will get the benefit of salary only as per the instructions issued. New pay scales have been fixed for them on promotion from the same level and post cadre under the seventh pay scale (7th CPC) on the same grade pay.
Order regarding Financial Upgradation under MACPS
Orders have been issued to provide financial upgradation under MACPS to the employees appointed from the post/cadre to another post/cadre having the same grade pay/level (7th CPC). Inquiry cum Reservation Clerk (GP 2800/Pay Level 5) from Senior Commercial Clerk (GP 2800/Pay Level 5) and Senior Commercial Clerk (GP 2800/Pay Level 5) Issue of grant of MACPS benefit not counting the appointment in Goods Guard (GP 2800/Pay Level 5) is under consideration in the Board’s office.
They will get the benefit of MACPS
It has been decided that while regulating MACPS benefits to such employees, the transition from Senior Commercial Clerk (GP 2800/ Pay Level 5) to Goods Guard (GP 2800/ Pay Level 5) and Senior Commercial Clerk (GP 2800/ Pay Level 5) to appoint infection.
Applicable to Railway employees
Also, Inquiry cum Reservation Clerk (GP 2800 / Pay Level 5) should not be considered as promotion and hence, cannot be considered for the purpose of providing financial upgradation under MACPS. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways. Please note that this issue has been raised by NFIR in the PNM Forum as Item No. 15/2021. MACPS Popularly known as Revised Assured Career Progression Scheme, this scheme replaces the erstwhile ACP scheme and will be applicable to organized Group ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ Railway employees. Group ‘D’ employee is treated as Group ‘C’.
