Within how many days it is necessary to transfer RC

To sell any vehicle, the owner needs to get the RC transferred within 14 days. For this you have to apply in RTO. In which some documents are required. It is necessary to have the original copy of the RC in these papers. Apart from this, you will have to fill Form 29. In which the passport size photograph and signature of the buyer should be there.

The form can be downloaded from the RTO website. Which has to be submitted in the RTO office. After this, within a month, the RC is transferred and sent to the new address. However, Form 28 is used for transfer from one state to another. Which takes more than 30 days.

How to transfer online

1. First of all you have to go to the website https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/.

2. Here you have to create an account by entering your name, mobile number, email etc.

3. Now click on Online Service. Here the Vehicle Related Service option has to be selected.

4. Now the application form will open in front of you. Where the OTP will come on the mobile number by entering the registration number of the vehicle.

5. After entering the OTP a new pose will open. Here you have to tap on the Transfer Ownership option. After that click on submit.

6. Now a form will appear. Here you have to fill the vehicle and registration information.

7. Now go to RTO office select the date.

8. All the documents and processing fee will have to be paid by going to the RTO office.
