RBI cautions those who buy and sell old notes and coins, wrong people are taking advantage

RBI Guidelines: Important news for loan takers, RBI has issued new instructions in the interest of customers.

Reserve Bank of India, in its statement, has advised the general public to be alert, to avoid such false and fraudulent offers, which are illegally extorting money from you using the name of Reserve Bank of India.



The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has cautioned against falling into the trap of false offers regarding purchase/sale of old banknotes and coins. The Reserve Bank of India said in an official statement on Wednesday that it has come to know that some elements are fraudulently and wrongly using the name and logo of Reserve Bank of India and various online / offline Demanding duty/commission/tax from the public on transactions involving sale and purchase of old bank notes and coins through the platform.

The Reserve Bank of India has clarified that it does not interfere in any such matter and does not charge any fee/commission in such matters. The Reserve Bank of India cautioned the general public that it has not authorized any entity/company/individual to collect duty/commission on the sale and purchase of old banknotes and coins on its behalf.
