To prevent fraud in ration card, the government is making the process of ration card application completely safe. Now OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked with Aadhaar at the time of application of ration card from CSC (Jan Seva Kendra). This will identify the genuine and fake applicants by OTP verification. Not only this, the applicant’s mobile number and Aadhaar will also be authenticated. This new system will be implemented soon.

There have been many cases of fake Aadhar and duplication in ration cards. To prevent this fraud and to make the ration card secure, the government has made a system of OTP to authenticate the applicant’s mobile number and Aadhaar at the time of application itself. OTP will come on the number linked in the Aadhaar of the applicant. With this people will not be able to use someone else’s Aadhaar.

PDF of the application will be uploaded
The CSC operators will now have to create a PDF file of all the records and application form of the ration card applicant and upload it on the website. The CSC operator will also have to take the signature on all the papers and application form of the applicant. Very soon people will be able to apply online for ration card on the website of food department sitting at home. DSO Sunil Kumar Singh says that for this a separate link will be made available on the departmental website soon.

If the current address is not in the Aadhaar, then the residence certificate will be taken
In the new system, if the current address is recorded in the Aadhaar of the applicant of the ration card, then there will be no need for the applicant to apply the residence certificate. In case the present address (from where the applicant is applying) is not entered in the Aadhaar, the residence certificate will have to be attached.
