Food Grain ATM Yojana: Uttarakhand Food Department is going to start a new scheme soon. Giving information, Food Minister Rekha Arya said that the way common people withdraw money from ATM machines for their needs, now on the same lines the general public can also take food grains in Uttarakhand.

Food Minister Rekha Arya said that under the special scheme of World Food Scheme, food grain ATM is going to be started in the state. He told that under the World Food Plan, we have also got approval in this regard. Let us tell you that at present the scheme of food grain ATM is going on only in the states of Orissa and Haryana, but now Uttarakhand will be the third state in the country to do so.

Giving information, Food Minister Smt. Rekha Arya said that this system will work like an ATM machine. Also, it will also have a screen like an ATM machine. Ration card holders will be able to come here and withdraw wheat, rice and pulses on the lines of ATM machine. This scheme is being started under a pilot project.

Let us inform that like ATM card of eligible people, ATM will also be made for ration. With the help of this, a person will be able to take his ration from anywhere. Rekha Arya said that it will be started as a trial first. If this scheme is successful then it will be implemented in the entire state.
