Those who sell wheat and paddy worth lakhs every year at the purchasing centers are also taking free ration. The administration has prepared a list of 1356 people who have done this in Prayagraj district and sent it to the District Supply Officer. Departmental action will be taken with the cancellation of the ration card of all of them. Out of these, the investigation of 56 people who have canceled the ration cards of 1300 people is going on.
Explain that the annual income of those who make ration cards in urban areas should be three lakhs and in rural areas, two lakhs. But many people were taking free ration despite earning more than the prescribed income. After this investigation, this action was taken. Last year, wheat was procured at the purchasing centers through electronic point purchase machines. Aadhaar number was mandatory during registration and sale of wheat. 20 thousand people sold wheat. Out of this, 1356 people were such whose income from sale of wheat and paddy was more than two lakhs. District Supply Officer Anand Kumar Singh said that the ration cards of the marked are being canceled. Re-verification of all ration card holders will be done.
