Pulling the chain unnecessarily while traveling can land you in big trouble. Chain pulling is permissible only in case of emergency such as fire in the train, accident, medical emergency or an elderly person or a child missing the train. If a person is caught pulling a chain without any reason, he can be fined and even jailed.

If you have got a middle berth while traveling in the train, then know that you can use it only between 10 pm to 8 am.

While traveling in the train, TTE cannot demand a ticket from any passenger after 10 o’clock. Tickets can be checked again only after 6 am.

It is strictly prohibited to talk loudly or listen to music while traveling in a train between 10 pm to 6 am. If you do this, action may be taken against you.

Packaged food items cannot be sold more than MRP in trains. By doing this you can lodge a complaint with the Railways. In such a case, Railways can take strict action against such vendor and can even cancel his license.
