How long will there be a ban on the sale of platform tickets?
According to the information given by Northern Railway, there will be a ban on the sale of platform tickets at New Delhi and Anand Vihar terminals till 18 November 2023 i.e. Saturday. However, Northern Railway has also given relaxation in some cases. According to Northern Railway, those who are coming to the railway station to drop elderly, sick or female passengers will be allowed to go to the railway station. It is noteworthy that due to the end of Diwali festival and Chhath festival, huge crowd is being seen in trains at this time. Huge crowd seen in UP-Bihar train

Festive season is going on in the country. During Diwali, Bhai Dooj and Chhath, huge crowd is seen in the trains of UP-Bihar. It is worth noting that due to crowd at the railway station, an incident of stampede was reported in Surat. Due to this, one passenger died and some passengers became unconscious. Apart from this, an incident of stampede was also reported at Chhapra station.

Railways has taken this decision to allow only traveling people to enter the railway station during the festive season. Railways had decided to run 300 special trains in view of the festivals, but these trains are also proving inadequate. Many passengers have complained that even after having confirmed tickets, they could not reach their seats. This also includes AC Tier 3 and 2 passengers.
