RRB ALP Age Limit: Indian Railways has started the process of recruitment of 5,696 Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP). The recruitment drive has started after the successful recruitment of 1.5 lakh employees. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that as the railway network expands, the recruitment of personnel will continue to increase.
Apart from this, the big update is that 3 years relaxation has been given in the age limit for this process. Meaning, earlier only candidates with age limit up to 30 years were eligible to apply for these posts, but now a relaxation of 3 years in the age limit has been announced. After this announcement the maximum age limit has become 33 years. Meaning, now candidates below 33 years can also apply for these posts. The application process for this will start online from January 31. The last date to apply for recruitment to these posts is 19 February 2024. The age limit will be calculated from July 1, 2024.
Apart from this, it was also announced that now ALP recruitment will be held every year. Apart from this, the candidates will get another benefit that the joining of the candidates selected on these posts will be done immediately, they will not have to wait for this.
Selection Process for Railway ALB Recruitment:
The selection process is likely to be completed in four phases. These phases are
1. First Stage CBT (Computer Based Test)
2. Second Stage CBT
3. Computer Based Aptitude Test
4. Document Verification
Talking about application, an application fee of Rs 500 will have to be paid for this. Rs 400 will be refunded to those who take part in the CBT 1 exam. Whereas SC, ST, Women, EBC, Disabled category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 250. The entire amount of Rs 250 will be refunded to those who will appear in CBT 1 exam.
