The Prime Minister’s meeting in Purnia is proposed on 15 September. On this day, he will inaugurate the flight service from Purnia. Apart from this, he will also give a gift of thousands of crores of rupees to Bihar. This information was given by Bharatiya Janata Party’s Bihar President Dilip Jaiswal on Tuesday.
Earlier, Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary also confirmed the Prime Minister’s visit to Bihar in September. Samrat said that PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate air service from Purnia Airport in the month of September. Samrat Choudhary said this in a program organized by BJYM at Gyan Bhawan on Tuesday.
After Patna, Darbhanga and Gaya, Purnia will be the fourth airport in Bihar from where commercial flights can be operated. The work of Purnia airport is in its final stage. The deadline to complete the construction work is 30 August. Approval from the Airports Authority of India (DGCA) is also expected in early September.

The construction work of the boundary wall of Chunapur Airport, Purnia has been completed by the Building Construction Department. The plastering work on the boundary wall is in the advanced stage. At the same time, along with the plastering, the paint work in the boundary wall is also progressing rapidly, which is targeted to be completed by the end of this month (August).
In addition, to further strengthen security, the work of installing about one and a half feet high concertina wire on the upper part of the wall is progressing rapidly. Building construction secretary Kumar Ravi gave this information on Tuesday.
After 13 years, planes will take off from Purnia
Commercial flights will start from Purnia airport after 13 years. Commercial flight operations were started for a short time in 2012, but the airport was closed due to inadequate infrastructure and low demand. Now flights will be operated from here by constructing a new interim terminal building.
