Public Holiday: The festival season has begun. On one hand, the markets are bustling with activity, while on the other hand, the children are having a gala time as the holiday has been announced.
Let us tell you that three major festivals will be celebrated next week, for which the Chhattisgarh government has declared public and local holidays. It is worth mentioning that the Chhattisgarh government had issued the notice of the holiday 15 days in advance.
Public Holiday: Schools will open thrice a week
Due to the festive season, three major festivals will be celebrated next week. Due to which all government offices, banks and schools-colleges will remain closed for three days. This week children will go to school only for three days. Please note that holiday orders have been issued for 26, 27, 28 August. Due to which children will go to school only on 25th Monday, 29th Friday and 30th Saturday. Similarly, government offices and banks will also work for only three days.
Which festival when
Next week, three major festivals Teej, Ganesh Chaturthi and Nuwakhai will be celebrated. Hartalika Teej will be celebrated on 26th, Ganesh Chaturthi on 27th and Nuwakhai on 28th. Chhattisgarh government has issued a new order and declared 28th August as a local holiday. General Administration Department has declared a local holiday on 28th August on the occasion of Nuwakhai. In this regard, the Deputy Secretary of General Administration Department has issued an order.
Ashtami holiday cancelled
Along with declaring a holiday on August 28 on the occasion of Navakhai, the state government has also cancelled a local holiday. The government has cancelled the local holiday declared on the occasion of Durga Ashtami. Durga Ashtami is on September 30. In the list of holidays released for 2025, a local holiday was declared on September 30, but now this holiday has been cancelled.
