New Delhi: President Draupadi Murmu will visit London from September 17 to 19 to attend the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain and offer condolences from the Indian government. The Ministry of External Affairs gave this information on Wednesday.

Mourning was declared in India
India had also declared a day of national mourning on Sunday on the death of the Queen. The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that during the 70-year reign of Queen Elizabeth II, India-UK relations have developed and deepened. As head of the Commonwealth, he played a vital role in the welfare of millions of people around the world.

Funeral will be done on September 19
Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8 at the age of 96. He will be cremated with state honors on September 19.

Crowds gather around London
At the same time, people have started gathering around London for the last farewell of Queen Elizabeth to be held on Wednesday. From Buckingham Palace, the Queen’s administrative headquarters and royal residence, the late Queen’s coffin will be carried on a cannon cart to Parliament House, where the Queen’s body will be kept for four days. Horses will pull this cannon cart.

Maharaja Charles III and other members of the royal family will follow the coffin cart. Thousands gather at ‘The Mall’ outside Buckingham Palace and on the banks of the River Thames hours before the coffin journey begins. This crowd is the latest glimpse of the wave of mourning spread across the country in respect of the Queen and her demise.
