The Postal Department has taken a major step to ensure customer convenience. Booking counter hours have been changed at some major post offices in Uttar Pradesh’s Etah and Kasganj districts. The biggest relief has been received by customers of Etah’s Main Post Office, where services like registry, speed post, and parcel will now be available 24 hours a day.
The Department of Posts has temporarily implemented this system to address growing customer demand and reduce congestion in post offices. The Department believes this change will not only provide customers with longer service hours but will also improve the efficiency and quality of post offices.
24 hour booking at Main Post Office Etah
The main post office in Etah will now have employees working in three shifts so that customers can make their bookings at any time of the day or night.

With the launch of this facility, customers will now be able to avail the benefits of Speed Post, Parcel, Registry and other postal services at any time.
Changes in timings of other sub-post offices as well
In addition to the main post office, the timings of four other sub-post offices in the division have also been changed. The timings at the Jalesar, Aliganj, Kasganj, and Soron sub-post offices are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (previously, they were from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.). The new timings at the Ganjdundwara sub-post office are from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Superintendent of Etah division, Sushil Kumar Shukla said that this change has been made as per the convenience of the customers so that people can take maximum benefit of the services of the postal department.
