India Post has good news for the account holders in the post office, so far the withdrawal of only Rs 5000 has been increased in a day.


New Delhi: Post Office Saving Schemes: There is good news for the account holders in the post office. The post office has changed many rules. Indian Post has increased the limit for withdrawing money in post office savings schemes. With this, the Office Savings Schemes will be able to compete with the banks and post office deposits will increase in the long term. 

Will be able to withdraw 20,000 rupees in a day

Now account holders can withdraw Rs 20,000 in a day in the branch of Gramin Dak Seva, earlier this limit was Rs 5,000. Apart from this, no Branch Postmaster (BPM) will accept cash deposit transactions of more than Rs 50,000 in an account in a day. This means that cash transactions of more than Rs 50,000 cannot be done in one account in a day.

Rules changed for PPF, KVP, NSC

According to the new rules, apart from savings accounts, now through check deposits in Public Provident Fund (PPF), Senior Citizen Savings Scheme (SCSS), Monthly Income Scheme (MIS), Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP), National Savings Certificate (NSC) schemes. The acceptance or withdrawal will be done through the form.

How important is the minimum balance?

Let us tell you that 4% interest is available on the Post Office Saving Scheme, for the savings account opened in the post office, it is necessary to keep a minimum balance of Rs 500. If the amount in your account is less than Rs 500 then Rs 100 will be deducted as account maintenance fee.
