Let us tell you that there has been a change in the rules related to the savings account in the post office. These new rules are going to be implemented from 1 October 2021 i.e. tomorrow. There is going to be a change in the charges on the ATM card from October 1. The post office has given this information by issuing a circular.

The department has limited financial and non-financial transactions done at ATMs in a month. Let us know about the new charges on Post Office Savings Account.

1. New Post Office ATM Charges
From October 1, the annual maintenance charge for Post Office ATM/Debit card will be Rs 125 + GST. Let us tell you that these charges will be applicable from 1 October 2021 to 30 September 2022.





2. Charges for SMS Alerts
India Post will now charge Rs 12 + GST ​​for SMS alerts sent to its customers.

3. If you lose your ATM, you will have to pay this much charge
If you use post office ATM, then this information is very important for you. If your ATM is lost after October 1, then you will have to pay Rs 300 + GST ​​charge for getting another debit card. At the same time, if the ATM PIN is lost, then a charge will have to be paid for the second PIN as well. For this, customers will have to pay Rs 50 + GST ​​charge.

4. Minimum Balance
The customer will also be required to maintain a minimum balance. If ATM or POS transaction is refused due to lack of balance in the savings account, then the customer will have to pay Rs 20 + GST ​​for the same.





5. Number of free transactions also limited
According to the new rules, no charges will be levied for 5 transactions in a month in the Basic Savings Account. After this, GST will be charged on the transaction along with Rs 10 on withdrawal.
