Fee structure at Post Office ATMs
Five free financial and non-financial transactions are permitted per month from your Post Office ATM. After this, financial transactions will be charged ₹10 plus GST, and non-financial transactions will be charged ₹5 plus GST. This fee structure for Post Office ATM users will continue as is and there is no increase.
Impact of fee hike and suggestions
This change will affect customers who frequently withdraw money from ATMs or perform non-financial activities, such as balance checking. This fee increase is necessary to maintain post office ATM services and provide better security. Users are advised to limit the number of ATM transactions or increase the use of digital payment methods, such as UPI, to avoid unnecessary charges.
Additionally, the annual maintenance charge for a Post Office ATM card is ₹125 plus GST. Reasonable charges apply for lost or duplicate PINs. It’s important for customers to stay informed about their card usage and related charges to enable better financial planning.
