Police detain 4 minor boys for sexually abusing 8-year-old girl in West Tripura

Airport Police have detained four minor boys on charges of sexually abusing a minor girl at Bamutia in West Tripura district.

According to police, a complaint was lodged by the father of the victim girl with the Airport police station on Saturday.

As per the complaint, the victim girl is just 8-year-old.

The father of the victim in his complaint said seven boys called his daughter to play with them.

But they intimidated her and sexually abused, the victim’s father alleged.

“The seven minors, who have been named by the victim girl’s father in his complaint, are in the age group of 11-16 years,” said a police officer of the Airport police station.

The Airport Police on Saturday night detained four of the seven minor boys, who were allegedly involved in the sexual abuse of the minor girl.

The minor boys have been kept in a rehabilitation centre.

The police also made arrangements of COVID19 test for the detained minor boys.

Two of the detained have tested COVID19 positive, the police said.

The two minors, who have tested COVID19 positive, are 12 and 13 years old.
