PM Modi will launch this government scheme through video conferencing. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also launch the e-Gopala App, gifting the country another agriculture related scheme. What is Pradhan Mantri Fishing Estates Scheme (PMSY)
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to launch the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana under Atmanirbhar Bharata Abhiyan today. Let me tell you that under this scheme, the government will spend Rs. 20050 crores during the period 2020 to 2025 years. This is the largest ever investment by the central government in the fisheries sector.



e-Gopala App to launch

55 lakh people to avail Pradhan Mantri Fishing Estate Scheme
The government’s Pradhan Mantri Fish Estates scheme is going to benefit 55 lakh people of the country. The scheme will promote fisheries across the country. Under the scheme, the government will also launch Fish Brood Bank at Sitamarhi in Bihar and Aquatic Disease Referral Laboratory at Kishanganj. With the help of this scheme, the government aims to increase the production of fish in the country to about 70 lakh tonnes in the year 2024-25.



The government is running a target of earning Rs 1 lakh crore with the help of the scheme. With the help of this scheme, additional fish production of 70 lakh tonnes will be produced in the next 5 years.



Who will get the benefit
