PM Surya Ghar Yojana: These banks are giving loans to promote PM Surya Ghar Yojana, check the list

On January 22, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Rooftop Solar Scheme. This scheme was later named PM Surya Ghar-Muft Bijli Yojana. In this, the government also gives subsidy on installation of solar system. Now many banks of the country are also offering loans for the scheme.

The Central Government has launched PM Surya Ghar Yojana to promote free electricity and solar energy in every household. In this scheme, the applicant gets subsidy from the government for installing solar panels.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Rooftop Solar Scheme on 22 January 2024. Later the name of this scheme was changed to PM Surya Ghar-Muft Bijli Yojana .

Under this scheme, solar panels will be installed in 1 crore houses in the country. Recently the Cabinet has approved Rs 75,000 crore for this scheme.

Any beneficiary who installs solar panels by taking advantage of this scheme will get 300 units of free electricity every month. Under the scheme, many banks of the country are also offering loans for installation of solar panels.

These banks are giving loans

  • Many banks of the country are offering loans under the scheme.
  • State Bank of India (SBI) is also offering loans. If 3 kw is installed then SBI gives a maximum loan of up to Rs 2 lakh. However, certain conditions are required to be fulfilled for the loan.
  • Central Bank of India will give a maximum loan of Rs 6 lakh for installation of 3 kw solar system.
  • Punjab National Bank (PNB) is giving a loan of Rs 6 lakh on 10kw system.
    Canara Bank is giving loan up to Rs 2 lakh on 3kw solar system.

How much subsidy will you get?

The Central Government is also giving subsidy under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. In this, subsidy is being given on different rooftop solar systems.

Now a subsidy of Rs 30,000 is being given on 1 kw solar system, while Rs 6,000 is being given on 2 kw system and Rs 78,000 is being given as subsidy on 3 kw.
