CM Arvind Kejriwal was nominated for the CNN IBN ‘Indian of the Year’ in the civil service for the year 2006. Apart from this, he has also been awarded the ‘Raman Magsaysay Award’ for Outstanding Leadership in the same year.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday wished Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on his birthday and wished him a long and healthy life. The Prime Minister said in a tweet, “Happy Birthday to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. I wish him a long and healthy life.”

Born on 16 August 1968 in Bhiwani, Haryana, Kejriwal is the seventh Chief Minister of Delhi. He is also the national convener of Delhi’s ruling Aam Aadmi Party. Arvind Kejriwal graduated in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech) from IIT Kharagpur in 1989. After the completion of his studies, he started working in Tata Steel Company. However, Kejriwal, who was always interested in politics, did not like to work in the company. He left the job there due to corruption and inaction of the people. After leaving his job with the Tata Steel Company, he went on to work with the Missionaries of Charity and the Ramakrishna Mission in East and Northeast India.

Did civil services qualification in the year 1992

The year 1992 was a very successful year for Arvind Kejriwal. In fact, he qualified civil services in the year 1992 and joined the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), where he was appointed to the Income Commissioner’s office in Delhi. During the income tax commissioner, she caught the dark exploits of some foreign companies that how they break the Indian Income Tax Act. However, there he received threats and then got transferred.

Kejriwal quit in 2006


Soon he realized that the reason for the rampant corruption in the government was the lack of transparency in the process. Now Kejriwal’s name is not unknown to anyone and his name is associated with Anna Hazare as Anna’s chief advisor. On 6 February 2007, Arvind was nominated for the CNN IBN ‘Indian of the Year’ in the Civil Services for the year 2006. In 2006, he was awarded the ‘Raman Magsaysay Award’ for Outstanding Leadership.
