New Delhi. PM Kisan Yojana: Under the PM Kisan Yojana, the central government provides financial assistance of 6,000 rupees to farmers every year. To benefit from this scheme, farmers must apply online.

They must also complete e-KYC. If you have applied online but have not completed e-KYC, your installment payment may be delayed. If you haven’t completed your e-KYC yet, today we will explain the step-by-step process for completing e-KYC.

The government has mandated e-KYC to ensure transparency and prevent fraudulent claims. This helps verify the identity of genuine beneficiaries and ensures that funds reach the right farmers without any middlemen. Failure to complete e-KYC puts beneficiaries at risk of missing out on upcoming installments.

How to do e-KYC of PM Kisan Yojana?

Farmers can easily complete the e-KYC process through the official PM Kisan portal or mobile app by following the steps given below:

  • Visit the official website pmkisan.gov.in or download the PM Kisan mobile app from Google Play Store.
  • On the homepage, click on the ‘e-KYC’ option under ‘Farmer’s Corner’ or log in to the app with your registered mobile number and go to the ‘Beneficiary Status’ section.
  • Enter your Aadhaar number and click on ‘Search’.
  • An OTP will be sent to the mobile number registered with your Aadhaar. Enter this OTP to verify your identity.
  • After successful OTP verification, your e-KYC status will be updated as ‘Complete’ on the portal within 24 hours.

How to check e-KYC status

Farmers who do not have OTP-based verification or a smartphone can get their biometric e-KYC done at the nearest Common Service Center (CSS) or State Service Centers. Farmers can check their e-KYC status and beneficiary details by visiting the PM Kisan portal and using the ‘Beneficiary Status’ option.
