PM kisan Samman Nidhi 20th Installment: Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme from Varanasi last Saturday. On this occasion, Rs 2,000 was transferred directly to the bank accounts of crores of eligible farmers. This scheme provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually to farmers, which is given in three equal installments. However, many farmers have complained that they have not received the installment money yet. If you have not received the money too, then these reasons may be the reason.
Why has the installment of some farmers been stopped?
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, many such cases have been identified which may be ineligible as per the rules of PM Kisan Yojana. Physical verification of these cases is being done and due to this the installments have been stopped.
Why have the installments of farmers been stopped?
- Change in ownership of land – Farmers who have bought land after February 1, 2019 are not considered eligible for this scheme.
- Many members of the same family are taking advantage – If husband-wife or parents-children are all getting benefits together, then it can become a reason for investigation.
- Wrong or duplicate information – Errors in Aadhaar, bank account or land records can also become a reason for stopping payment.
- E-KYC not completed: It is mandatory for all registered farmers of the scheme to get e-KYC done.

- From the Know Your Status (KYS) option on the PM Kisan website.
- Through the PM-Kisan mobile app.
- Use the Kisan eMitra chatbot.
Who cannot take advantage of this scheme?
- Some categories of people are considered ineligible under the scheme
- Institutional land holders
- MP, MLA, Minister, Mayor or District Panchayat President
- Retired employees receiving pension of Rs 10,000 or more
- Income tax payers
- Government officials (except Multi Tasking Staff or Group D)
What is the scheme?
PM Kisan Yojana is a 100% funded scheme of the Central Government. Under this, eligible farmers are sent Rs 6,000 every year in three installments directly to the bank account linked to Aadhaar. This scheme has been launched to increase the income of farmers and make them financially strong.
