PM Housing: subsidy is not available under PMAY! Did you make this mistake somewhere

PMAY: Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana many people are not getting the benefit of credit linked subsidy. Many complain that subsidy has not come to their account under this scheme. Complaints are also being received about this on social media. Let us know that the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is a scheme launched by the government in India, which aims to provide cheap houses in urban and rural areas to the people. Under this, CLSS or credit linked subsidy is given to first time home buyers. This subsidy can be up to a maximum of Rs 2.67 lakh. This is a sponsored scheme by the central government. This can be availed till 31 March 2021.

Know who will get the benefit first




There should not be a pucca house anywhere in India in the name of the applicant or any member of his family.

No family member has taken advantage of any housing scheme started by the government earlier.

If a married couple, then both single and joint ownership is allowed. But only 1 subsidy will be available for both options.

Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Lower Income Group (LIG) and Middle Income Group are eligible for CLSS.

Under this scheme, only the beneficiaries are allowed to buy or construct a new residential property.

Subsidy to which income group?

There are 4 categories of income. Those with annual income up to 3 lakh get subsidy in EWS section, LIG ​​to 3 lakh to 6 lakh annual income, MIG1 to 6 lakh to 12 lakh annual income and MIG2 section to 12 lakh to 18 lakh annual income.

If your income is up to Rs 6 lakh per annum, then you will get a credit linked subsidy of 6.5 percent on a loan of Rs 6 lakh. Those earning up to Rs 12 lakh annually will get 4 percent interest subsidy on loans up to Rs 9 lakh. Those earning up to Rs 18 lakh will get 3 percent interest subsidy on loans up to Rs 12 lakh. The loan should be for a maximum period of 20 years.

Note: If there is a difference between the income of an applicant and the section of the house chosen by him, the subsidy will be stuck.

PMAY-G: List on this basis

Under PMAY-G, the government pays attention to Socio Economic Cast Census 2011 i.e. Socio Economic Caste Census 2011 to identify the beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. In addition, the government includes tehsils and panchayats to decide the final list. Subsidies will not be available for not fulfilling these criteria.

Who is konor

To get the exemption under PMAY, it is necessary that the woman is the owner of the property on which the subsidy is being taken. Due to its absence, the benefit of subsidy will not be available.

Documents should not be disturbed

Some documents of salaried and non salaried are necessary for PM Awas Yojana. If any of these documents contain information wrong then subsidy may get stuck. Documents require identity proof, address proof, income proof, ITR receipt, property proof etc.
