The special thing is that account holders filling PF under EPFO ​​can link their UAN number and Aadhaar card through UMANG mobile app. Many government services are available at one place on UMANG or Unified Mobile Application.

Actually, EPFO ​​subscribers get a free life insurance cover of Rs 7 lakh. This facility of cover is available under the Employee Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (EDLI). In this scheme, a maximum insurance cover of Rs 7 lakh is paid to the nominee. Government employees as well as employees of private companies also get this free benefit of up to Rs 7 lakh. If the EPF member has died prematurely, then his/her nominee or heir can claim for the insurance cover. If the age of the claimant is less than 18 years, then his guardian can make the claim on his behalf. How to do e-nomination in EPF / EPS

  • First of all go to the official website of EPFO ​​https://www.epfindia.gov.in/. Click on ‘Services’ option and under that click on ‘For Employees’ option.
  • You will be redirected to a new page, then click on ‘Member UAN/Online Service’ option. Select E-Nomination under Manage Tab, by doing this the Provide Details tab will appear on the screen, then click on Save.
  • Now click on Yes for family declaration, then click on Add family details. Here for total amount share click on Nomination Details, then click on Save EPF Nomination.
  • Next click on E-sign to generate OTP, now enter OTP on registered mobile number linked in Aadhaar. By doing this, your e-nomination gets registered with EPFO.

  • Download the UMANG app from Google Play Store or Apple iOS and click on the EPFO ​​link.
  • Go to eKYC Services, select the Aadhar Seeding option and enter your UAN Number.
  • OTP will come on the registered number and after that Aadhaar will be linked with UAN number.

Link Aadhaar-PF account with EPFO ​​website

  • Go to the online service section of the EPFO ​​website www.epfindia.gov.in.
  • Now by visiting the eKYC portal link, OTP will come on the mobile number registered on the linked UAN basis.
  • After OTP verification, another OTP will come after your Aadhaar number.
  • After this, after verification i.e. if your UAN details match with Aadhaar, then the process of UAN-Aadhaar linking will be completed.

Link Aadhaar to UAN

  • Go to the office and fill the ‘Aadhaar Seeding Application’ form and enter UAN, Aadhaar related details along with other details.
  • Attach self-attested copies of PAN, Aadhaar and UAN. Submit the filled form at any field office of EPFO ​​or Common Service Center (CSC).
  • On completion of verification, Aadhaar will be linked with PF account. With the linking of Aadhaar and UAN, a confirmation message will be sent to your registered mobile number.
