PF Money: Check PF interest money like this and download e-statement, easy way to know

Check PF Balance: There is good news for the subscriber of Provident Fund. EPFO has credited the interest for the financial year 2020-21. Money has to be added to the account of about 6.5 crore subscribers of the country. However, till now many account holders have not received the interest money. Hopefully, just before Diwali, EPFO ​​will give this gift to them too. You can check your account balance to find out how much interest has been received on your deposits. Actually, the interest amount is credited zone wise. That’s why sometimes it takes time for money to be credited in different zones.

How to Check EPF Balance and Passbook Online

  • EPFO has given the facility to check EPF balance on its official website. The link of e-Passbook will be found on the top right side of the website.
  • Provident Fund account holder has to enter the UAN number and its password.
  • After entering the UAN number and password on the website, click on the View Passbook button and you will know the balance.

Check Balance With Umang App

PF balance can also be tracked from EPFO’s UMANG app. For this, first click on the member and after that enter the UAN number and password.

Check PF balance by missed call

To know the PF balance, you can also find out through missed call. A missed call has to be given on 011-22901406 from the registered mobile number on EPFO. After this, by SMS, you will know how much balance is in your PF account. Balance message will be received from AM-EPFOHO. If your company is a private trust then you will not get the balance details. You have to contact your company for this.

EPF Passbook is of great use

EPF Passbook (EPF Statement) helps to know how much deduction can be claimed from the total income under section 80C. You can make this claim on your contribution. This shows you (e-statement) that the total amount has been deposited in the account due to the contribution made by you and your company. It helps to transfer EPF account from previous institution to new institution. In the EPF passbook, PF account number, provident fund, pension scheme details, institution name and ID, EPFO ​​office details are given. To get the EPF passbook, it is necessary to register on the EPFO ​​website.

Activate UAN

1. Go to https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/

2. Click on Activate UAN (Universal Account Number).

3. A new page will appear on your screen. Enter UAN, Aadhaar, PAN and other details. Remember that some information needs to be entered. They are marked with a red color asterisk.

4. Click on ‘Get Authorization Pin’. A new page will appear on your screen.

In this, you will be asked to verify the entered details. OTP will be sent to your mobile through SMS.

5. Enter the OTP and click on ‘Validate OTP and Activate UAN’. On activation of UAN, you will get SMS with password. Use this password to log in to your account. You can change your password after login.

Before downloading the EPF statement, remember that you will be able to see your passbook only after 6 hours of registration.

Follow the steps to download the EPF statement

Step 1: Website
Go to https://passbook.epfindia.gov.in/MemberPassBook/Login.jsp

Step 2: Enter UAN, Password and Captcha Code. Click on ‘Log-in’.

Step 3: After logging in, select the member ID to view your passbook.

The passbook is in PDF format, which can be easily downloaded.

Keep in mind, passbooks of Exempted PF Trusts cannot be viewed. Such institutions themselves manage the PF trust.

If you forget your account password, you can reset the password. For this, one has to visit the EPFO ​​member e-service website (https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/).
