To know about your EPF balance, your Universal Account Number (UAN) number must be activated with the employer. Employees involved in the EPF plan are given UAN number, which is their unique identification number.

Here we are telling you how to check your PF balance with UAN number:

  • Click on the ‘Services’ section on the EPF portal page.
  • Select ‘Member Passbook’ in the ‘Services’ section.
  • You will be taken to a new page. Enter your password and UAN. Sign in after completing the captcha process. If you do not know the password, go to the UAN portal. Click on ‘Forgot password’ on the login screen. After this, follow the instructions given on the site.
  • You will receive a 6-digit OTP on your Aadhaar-linked phone number.
  • After entering the OTP, click on ‘Verify’. Your PF account balance will appear on the screen.

Check your EPF balance before using the EPFO ​​​​portal. Also, follow these conditions:

  • You can check your EPF balance only if your UAN number is activated and you are registered on the EPFO ​​​​portal.
  • After registering on the EPFO ​​​​portal, you will have 6 hours to view the passbook.
  • Your passbook will show the latest entries of the EPFO ​​​​field office.
  • Members of private trusts and exempted institutions will not be able to check their balance on the EPFO ​​​​portal.
