Petrol Diesel Price: The price of petrol and diesel has reduced by two rupees per liter. The new rates will come into effect from 6 am on Friday. The prices of these petroleum products had remained stable for almost two years.

Petrol Diesel Price: Before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Modi government has given very good news. The prices of petrol and diesel have been reduced by Rs 2 per litre. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri informed about reducing the rates of petrol and diesel. Earlier, on Thursday itself, the Rajasthan government had also announced a two percent reduction in VAT on petrol and diesel, which brought great relief to the public. It is noteworthy that the Election Commission can announce the dates of Lok Sabha elections in one to two days.

The new rates of petrol and diesel will come into effect from 6 am on Friday. The Petroleum Ministry also said in its statement that government-owned petroleum companies have decided to revise the prices of petrol and diesel. The prices of these petroleum products had remained stable for almost two years. After this cut, the price of petrol in the national capital will now be Rs 94.72 per litre, which is currently Rs 96.72 per litre. Whereas diesel will be available for Rs 87.62, which is currently Rs 89.62 per liter.

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri posted on social media platform ‘X’ that by reducing the prices of petrol and diesel by two rupees, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again proved that the welfare and convenience of his family of crores of Indians is always his goal. The Union Minister further wrote, “When the world was going through difficult times – the prices of petrol increased by 50-72 percent in developed and developing countries and in many countries around us petrol was even stopped being available.” Despite the biggest oil crisis in fifty years since 1973, Modi’s family remained unaffected due to his visionary and intuitive leadership. Instead of increasing, petrol prices in India have decreased by 4.65 percent in the last two and a half years.

‘India is the only country where prices have not increased but have decreased’

The Union Minister further said in his post, “India was the only country where the prices of petrol and diesel did not increase, but decreased. We bought oil from wherever we could for our countrymen. Before Modiji became the Prime Minister, we used to buy crude oil from 27 countries, but under his leadership, we expanded this scope to provide cheap petrol, diesel and gas to our countrymen and now we are buying from 39 countries to meet the needs of Modi’s family. He further said that not only this, Prime Minister Modi reduced the central excise on petrol and diesel on two occasions in November 2021 and May 2022 and ensured that BJP ruled states reduce the VAT rate. Provide relief directly to Modi’s family. This is the reason that even today there is a difference of about Rs 15 in petrol prices and about Rs 11 in diesel prices between BJP ruled states and other states.
