Now any person can update mobile number on his Aadhar card at home with the help of postman. India Post Payments Bank and Unique Identification Authority of India will allow postmen to update mobile numbers of Aadhaar card holders under an agreement.

The service will be available through a network of 650 India Post Payments Banks, 1.46 lakh postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks. 128.99 crore Aadhaar numbers have been issued till March 31, 2021.

Let us inform that last week, the Department of Posts has started DMT (Domestic Money Transfer) service. If you do not have an account with any bank or post office and you have to send cash to any bank, then leave worry. Any person will be able to sit at home through postman and deposit cash in any bank account from the post office counter.

According to the new system of the postal department, by filling a form, you and the concerned account holder’s mobile number will have to be entered. After which the amount will be transferred by the post office to the concerned bank account. Within a few minutes the person belonging to the bank account can withdraw Rs. Till now there was only evacuation facility. A minimum of Rs 10 or 1% of the deposited amount, whichever is higher, has to be paid to avail the domestic money transfer service.

Under the arrangement, a message of money transfer will also come. For this, it is not necessary for the sender to have a bank account, only the mobile number is required. This arrangement is being provided through India Post Payments Bank through Aadhaar Enabled Payment System.

The customer will have to give cash by giving the sender’s account number, IFSC code and his mobile number. If the postman will transfer money from his mobile to the specified account immediately, then an OTP will come on the customer’s mobile. Which will have to be shared with the postman. Once the OTP is entered, the balance will be credited in the account.
