Why is life certificate required to be submitted?

Actually, the government asks retired people between 60 years to 80 years to submit life certificate every year. Through this the government certifies that you are alive and after that issues you pension. This life certificate remains valid for one year. Pensioners aged between 60 years to 80 years have to submit this certificate between 1st November to 30th November, while super senior citizens above 80 years have to submit their certificate from 1st October to 30th November.

Can Jeevan Pramaan be submitted even after 30th November?

If you do not submit your life certificate by 30th November, your pension may be stopped, because without it your pension amount will not be released. But you have a relief option, that is, if you submit your certificate before 31st October next year, your pension will be restarted, and the balance which has not been received is also given to you.
