Passport Seva Appointment News: Ghaziabad Regional Passport Officer said that after coming to Omicron in the country, passport applications (appointments) at Passport Seva Kendra Kaushambi (PSK), Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (PO PSK) and RPO were halved. Now gradually seeing the effect of Corona decreasing, the Ministry of External Affairs has decided to change the number of passports as before.


Ghaziabad. In the Regional Passport Office of the district, people of 11 districts who have made passports are going to get relief. People here will not have to wait long. Appointments are being increased at Passport Seva Kendra as soon as the corona infection subsides. From February 11, preparations have been started to increase the passport application to double. The new system is being implemented on the instructions of the Ministry of External Affairs.

Regional Passport Officer Subroto Hazra said that after the arrival of Omicron in the country, passport applications (appointments) at Passport Seva Kendra Kaushambi (PSK), Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (PO PSK) and RPO were halved. Now gradually seeing the effect of Corona decreasing, the Ministry of External Affairs has decided to change the number of passports as before. In Kaushambi PSK affiliated to RPO, maximum 1200 passport applications are accepted in a day on normal days. A large number of people are reaching PSK despite the passport applications being halved for the past one month. At present, passport applicants can take appointments up to three months.

Doubling the appointment will benefit

After the third wave of corona, the regional office reduced the number of passport applications in Kaushambi PSK from 1200 to 580 and applications in PO PSK of 11 districts Noida, Meerut, Saharanpur, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Aligarh, Agra, Bulandshahr, Vrindavan, Achhnera, Hathras were reduced from 40 to 20. Also, instead of 200, only 100 applications are being taken in the Regional Passport Office so far. With the increase in the number of such applications, lakhs of applicants from Ghaziabad as well as other districts will not have to wait for appointments.
