Apply Online Passport: Due to the increase in passport applications, the demand for Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) has also increased. To overcome this unexpected increase, the Ministry of External Affairs has taken a big decision. From 28 September 2022, applications for PCC services will be available at all online Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs) across India. This will make it easier for the passport makers.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced

A statement has come from the Ministry of External Affairs, in which it has been said that the Ministry is working on easing passport related services and improving the experience of citizens. Let us tell you that the demand for Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) has increased. For this, now all online Post Office Passport Seva Kendras in India will have the facility to apply for PCC services.

What is Police Clearance Certificate


Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is issued to the Indian passport holder. If these people want to get a visa for residential status, job or long time then it is required. Let us tell you that PCC is not required to go abroad on Tourist Visa.

Ministry told which people will benefit

The ministry has said that after this decision, not only will Indian citizens seeking employment abroad, but the demand of other PCC requirements will also be met. Such as in matters of education, visa for a long time etc.

Required Documents

1. Proof of current address
2. Self-attested copy of employment contract with foreign employer
3. Copy of seven valid visas of official English translation (if visa is not in English)
4. Self-attested photocopies of ECR/Non-ECR
