In the increasing era of cybercrime, we should take care that our documents are not misused. Especially while using PAN card and Aadhar card, vigilance is very important.

PAN Card-Aadhaar Card Misused: Cases of online fraud are increasing continuously. Therefore, there is a need to be very careful while doing any online transaction. While using Aadhar card, PAN card or debit card and credit card, it should be kept in mind that they should not be misused.

Because, the incidents related to cybercrime keep coming to the fore in new ways every day. Recently, Bollywood actor Rajkumar Rao also became a victim of this fraud. Someone used his PAN card to take a loan in Rao’s name. Rajkummar Rao said in a tweet, “My PAN card has been misused and a loan of Rs 2500 has been taken in my name. Because of this my CIBIL score has been affected. Please take necessary steps against such frauds.”

Before Rajkumar Rao, Sunny Leone’s PAN was also misused. Such incidents affect the CIBIL score of the people. Having a low credit score can lead to denial of future loans. The loan rate can be much higher than the market rate.

Economic horoscope hidden in PAN-Aadhaar

We should take a lesson from these incidents. In the increasing era of cybercrime, we should take care that our documents are not misused. Especially while using PAN card and Aadhar card, vigilance is very important. Because, these are two such documents in which the horoscope of our financial condition is hidden.

PAN and Aadhar Card is linked to our bank account. The lending company regularly shares your information with the credit bureaus. It is updated by the credit bureaus in their system. And in this way the details of the outstanding loan linked to your PAN number are received from the credit rating agencies.

Don’t share with anyone

Therefore, no one should share his PAN and Aadhaar number with anyone. These are confidential documents. If you are also sharing a photo copy of your PAN or Aadhar card with someone, then definitely mention about the work for which they are being used on the copy. It should be written in such a way that some part of your article appears on the picture of PAN or Aadhaar. By doing this the chances of fraud are reduced. Financial transactions should not be done on public Wi-Fi. Do not share your personal details online.

Keep checking credit score

You should check your credit score regularly. So that it can be seen whether the PAN card is being misused or not. In case of low credit score or any doubt, you should report it to CIBIL.

If someone has taken a fake loan in your name, then the bank should inform about it. Disputes can be raised through the website of the credit bureaus.

In such a situation, you can contact RBI. Register your complaint online on RBI website ms.rbi.org.in. You can also mail your complaint to crpc@rbi.org.in.
