Oneplus 12 new variant will launch in India on 6 June 2024, know all details

OnePlus is considering giving a significant upgrade to the current flagship phone OnePlus 12 with a new OS update before the launch of its next generation handset. It has been learned that the latest Android 15 beta on OnePlus 12 indicates a version of the phone that may support satellite connectivity. However, OnePlus has not given any information about this.

While rumors are flying around about the upcoming OnePlus 13, a new information is emerging in which OnePlus 12 is said to get a special upgrade with the next major operating system update. If you are searching for the latest Android 15 beta on your OnePlus 12 device, then there is a special news for you.

Now you may see a section called ‘Satellite Mobile Phone’ in this phone. Hopefully this hints towards a satellite connectivity variant of the OnePlus 12.

Oppo will also have similar feature

Interestingly, similar code snippets were also found in the Settings app of the Oppo Find N3 running the latest Android 15 beta.
That is, both OnePlus 12 and Find N3 mention ‘satellite mobile phone’, which shows that future versions of these phones may support satellite connectivity.

What will be the benefit

Let us tell you that OnePlus has not yet officially announced the OnePlus 12 variant with satellite connectivity. These speculations have surfaced based on the beta software update.
So if these rumours turn out to be true, the satellite-enabled OnePlus 12 variant could launch later this year and potentially be available outside China.
This will be the first time that it is being made available in regions outside China on an Android smartphone.

Facility will be available with Android 15 update

The integration of satellite connectivity allows users to send and receive SMS and MMS even in areas without traditional network coverage. Let us tell you that this has been confirmed by Google in its latest Android 15 update.

This move by OnePlus was also seen in the recent launch of the Oppo Find X7 Ultra in China, which included a ‘satellite version’ along with the standard model.
