Old Pension Latest Update: The war has intensified in different states regarding the demand for restoration of old pension. Last days, after the warning of the employees going on strike in Karnataka, the government had assured to implement the old pension.
After this, after the government employees went on a long strike in Maharashtra, the state government has announced to give benefits equal to the old pension scheme (OPS Benefits). For the last one week, the government employees of Maharashtra were on strike for the demand of old pension.
OPS restored in five states
It was announced on Monday by the government that the employees need not worry. All of you will get the same benefits as the old pension scheme. After the talks of the employees with the Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, the decision was taken on the restoration of OPS. Before this, old pension has already been implemented in five states of Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Punjab and Jharkhand.
Preparation to encircle the government in Uttarakhand

The tension of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami may increase due to the preparation of the employees. National Movement for Restoration of Old Pension (NMOPS) has expressed displeasure over no decision on restoration of old pension in the budget session. The employees have warned to go on strike soon if the demand for old pension is not fulfilled.
Decision to take out the constitutional march
In the meeting of NMOPS, State President Jeetmani Painuli and Provincial General Secretary Mukesh Raturi said that in the budget session, Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal had asked not to restore the old pension. All the employees of the state government criticize his statement. More than 90,000 government employees of Uttarakhand state are demanding restoration of old pension. In the meeting, it was decided to take out a constitutional march at all the district headquarters on 16th April.
Let us tell you that the old pension is made on the basis of the last drawn salary of the employee. Apart from this, with the increase in the inflation rate, there is also an increase in DA. Along with increasing DA from the government or implementing new pay commission, pension also increases.
