According to media reports, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister
Jai Ram Thakur has made an announcement in this regard. He said that a committee would be constituted under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Ram Subag Singh to restore the old pension scheme.
Jai Ram Thakur made this announcement in the Himachal Assembly while replying to the motion of thanks on the Governor’s address .
The Chief Minister said that the state government is working for the benefit of the employees.
Let us tell you that the National Movement for Old Pension Scheme is an organization of more than 14 lakh central and state government employees . It recently wrote a letter to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in this regard.

While the central government is also considering the demand of the long-standing employees regarding the old pension scheme. This has also raised the expectations of the employees. The government has sought an opinion from the Law Ministry regarding the old pension scheme. The reply of the ministry is awaited. After that a decision will be taken.
Earlier, the Rajasthan government, during the presentation of the budget 2022, had announced to restore the old pension scheme for the employees of the state . Pension has been announced as before for the personnel appointed on and after January 1, 2004.
Jharkhand CM had denied
While on Monday, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren had made it clear in the assembly that the state government has no plan to implement the old pension scheme. This clarification was given by Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the Vidhan Sabha in response to a question of MLA Pradeep Yadav, who joined Congress from Jharkhand Vikas Morcha.
