Munger district is getting the gift of Vande Bharat Express on Janmashtami. This train will start operating from Jamalpur Junction from August 16, which will be flagged off by Union Minister Lallan Singh. This train will cover the distance of 450 km between Jamalpur and Howrah in 6.35 hours, which will provide convenience to passengers and traders. Railways is busy preparing for the operation.

The people of the district are going to get a big gift on Janmashtami. The people here will travel by the country’s first semi high speed train Vande Bharat from Shri Krishna Janmashtami i.e. 16 August. MP cum Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan alias Lallan Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary will flag off the Vande Bharat Express at Jamalpur Junction.

On the phone, the Union Minister said that the Malda Railway Divisional Manager had requested him to fix a time for flagging off the Vande Bharat Express. The Malda DRM has been given the time of 16th August. The Union Minister said that this day is also Shri Krishna Janmashtami. What could be a greater happiness for the people of the district. The operation of Vande Bharat Express is starting for the people of Munger on the birthday of Lord Krishna.

Here, after getting time from the Union Minister, Malda Railway Division has also started preparations. It was told that on August 16, the Railways is preparing for better arrangements to start the operation of Vande Bharat.

The Union Minister said that the people of Munger had a strong demand that Vande Bharat Express should start operating from Jamalpur Junction. On the demand of the people, he himself had requested Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. Soon after this, the Union Railway Minister gave instructions to extend Vande Bharat from Bhagalpur to Jamalpur.

The Union Minister said that whatever demands the public had in the interest of the society, they have been fulfilled. He informed that two new pit lines are being constructed at Jamalpur Junction. The work of pit line construction will be completed by November. After this, work will be done towards starting the operation of some more trains. The Union Minister said that the people of Jamalpur-Munger and the surrounding areas will also benefit from the running of Vande Bharat. Small and big businessmen will also get a lot of convenience in business.

450 km journey in 6.35 hours

Vande Bharat Express will cover the 450 km distance between Jamalpur and Howrah in just 6.35 hours. Vande Bharat Express will operate on all six days of the week except Friday. Train number 22309 UP will depart from Howrah at 7.45 am.

It will reach Bolpur Shanti Niketan at 9.13, Rampurhat station at 10 am, Dumka at 11.05, Naunihat 11.32, Hansdiha 11.50, Mandarhill 12.12, Barahat 12.30, Bhagalpur at 1.15 pm and Jamalpur at 2.15 pm.

Similarly, Vande Bharat Express train number 22310 will depart from Jamalpur at 3.30 pm. It will reach Bhagalpur at 4.22, Barahat at 5.02, Mandarhill at 5.16, Hansdiha at 5.38, Naunihat at 5.53, Dumka at 6.25, Rampur Hat at 7.18, Bolpur Shanti Niketan at 7.56 and Howrah at 10.05.
