A year ago, a proposal for Vande Bharat from Agra to Jaipur was prepared, but then it was shelved. Exactly after six months, Vande Bharat started from Agra to Udaipur.
Currently 70 percent seats are full in this train. The number of passengers will increase even more in June and July. Something similar is the case of Agra to Varanasi Vande Bharat. On May 29, the number of coaches has increased from eight to 16. Even after this, there is a waiting list of more than 50.
A Railway Board official said, after seeing the Taj Mahal and other monuments, a large number of tourists leave for Jaipur. If there is a direct train from Agra, the tourism industry will benefit. In such a situation, the train will leave from Agra in the morning and return in the evening. This will bring more tourists to Agra. If tourists want to go to Varanasi or Prayagraj, they can go by Vande Bharat.
