There is a good news for Vande Bharat Express passengers. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will flag off the Vande Bharat Express connecting Nanded to Mumbai on Tuesday.
This Vande Bharat Express service will provide world-class travel facilities to pilgrims, tourists and people of Maharashtra. It will highlight the spiritual, cultural and historical importance of Hazur Sahib, Nanded, one of the five Takhts of Sikhism.
The inauguration of the Vande Bharat Express train will fulfill a long-standing demand of the Sikh community and Guru Nanak Leva Sangat, which is being supported by the Maharashtra Sikh Association (MSA). This will now make it much easier for the people of the Sikh community to reach the holy place of Nanded.
Know the full schedule of the new Vande Bharat Express
The inaugural run of Vande Bharat Express train number 02705 is to be held today. This Vande Bharat Express train will depart from Hazur Sahib Nanded at 11:20 am and arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Mumbai at 9:55 pm. During the entire journey, the train will stop at major stations like Parbhani, Jalna, Aurangabad, Manmad, Nashik Road, Kalyan, Thane and Dadar.
The train will leave from Nanded at 5 am
The Maharashtra Sikh Association said that train numbers 20705 and 20706 will run regular services from Wednesday (August 27, 2025). Train number 20705 will run from Nanded to Mumbai CSMT, leaving at 5:00 am and reaching its destination at 2:25 pm.
Vande Bharat Express will run 6 days a week
On the return journey, train number 20706 will depart from Mumbai CSMT at 1:10 pm and reach Nanded at 10:50 pm. The Vande Bharat Express train service will run six days a week. It will not operate from Nanded on Wednesday and from Mumbai on Thursday.
