Now Vande Bharat semi-high speed train will be run on a new route. Minister of State for Railways Raosaheb Danve told a delegation of MLAs from Maharashtra that the Vande Bharat train will soon be run on the Mumbai-Goa route. Maharashtra is the only state within whose limits Vande Bharat is operated.


Vande Bharat Express Train: Maharashtra can get the gift of another Vande Bharat Express. Soon the Vande Bharat semi-high speed express train will run on the Mumbai-Goa route. A train will also be run between Mumbai and Goa on the lines of the recently started express trains on the Mumbai-Shirdi and Mumbai-Solapur routes. This information was shared by Niranjan Davkhare, a member of Maharashtra Legislative Council representing Konkan graduate constituency. Four Vande Bharat trains are already running in the state. So far 10 Vande Bharat Express have been run in the country.

Please tell that Rao Saheb Danve had told the MLAs about running the Vande Bharat Semi-High Speed Express train. During the conversation with the MLAs, Union Minister Danve said that on the lines of Vande Bharat started on Mumbai-Shirdi and Mumbai-Solapur routes, this train will also be run between Mumbai and Goa.

Started work

During this, the Union Minister also informed that the electrification work on the Mumbai-Goa railway line has been completed. He said that after inspection a new train will be run on this route. Let us tell you that now it takes at least 8 hours to travel from Mumbai to Goa by train. The shortest rail route between Mumbai and Goa is about 412 kms. If Vande Bharat runs on this route, then this journey can be completed in 3-4 hours.

What will be the route

Its route has not been disclosed yet. However, it is possible that it will also be taken to Goa via the Tejas Superfast route. Tejas completes this route in 8 hours. Starting from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, this route reaches Margao via Thane, Ratnagiri and Karmali. Tejas train stops at total 6 stations between CST and Madgaon. It is possible that the stoppages of Vande Bharat will be reduced.
