Holi 2023 Drink and Drive Traffic Rules:

There can be a challan of up to ten thousand rupees for driving after drinking alcohol on the road.

Fine up to Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000

According to Section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act 2019, driving under the influence of intoxicants is strictly prohibited. If you drive after drinking alcohol in Holi, then you can be fined Rs 10,000 for drink and drive. Apart from this, there can also be a jail sentence of six months. On the other hand, if you make the same mistake for the second time, you may have to pay an invoice of Rs 15,000. Apart from this, there can be a jail term of two years or both.

Invoice will not be deducted for drinking so much alcohol

After drinking alcohol, if 30 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood is found in the body, then the challan is not deducted. However, the condition is that you are driving properly. Let us tell you that the traffic police checks the amount of alcohol in the body through BAC test. If the quantity in the body is 30mg per 100ml, then the challan is deducted up to 10 thousand rupees. Let us tell you that earlier the challan for drink and drive was Rs 2,000, which was increased to Rs 10,000.
