It is very important to follow the traffic rules. Failure to do so may result in great loss to you and other people. Because of your carelessness, the life of someone else can be in danger along with yours. In such a situation, you are advised to always drive your vehicle with responsibility.

If you do not follow the traffic rules and according to the new traffic rules, a challan of Rs 32500 can be deducted for the auto. Rs 5000 fine for driving auto without your driving license, for driving without registration certificate (RC) – Rs 5000 challan, without insurance – Rs 2000 challan, for breaking air pollution standard – Rs 10000 fine for you may have to suffer. This has happened before.

This case is of September 2019 when an auto driver’s challan of Rs 32 thousand 500 was deducted in Gurugram. Auto challan was cut at Bristol Chowk in Gurugram. The auto driver did not have RC, DL, pollution certificate, insurance.

5 to 10 times increase

After the amendments made in the Motor Vehicle Act, the amount of fine for breaking traffic rules has now increased from 5 to 10 times. For this reason, those who earlier used to walk after deducting only Rs 100 challan, now when they have to deduct Rs 1000 challan, they are losing their sweat. Driving without helmet will attract a fine of Rs 1000 instead of Rs 500. Also driving license can be suspended for 3 months.

People shy away from following the traffic rules because of not having a high fine, but now due to the increase in fine, people will be afraid before breaking the traffic rules. Driving without a license will now attract a fine of Rs 5,000 instead of Rs 500. At the same time, if a minor drives a vehicle, then he will have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000, which was Rs 500 earlier. Till now there was no penalty for not giving way to the emergency vehicle.
