New Rules from today, 1st November, 2023: The new month has started and with it new rules are also being implemented. And today there has been a shock in the midst of the festive season. LPG Cylinder has become expensive again. At the same time, new rules are also being implemented on GST challan. Let’s see the complete list.

1. LPG Price

Today, oil marketing companies (OMCs) in the country have made 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder costlier by Rs 101.50. After today’s increase, its price is ₹ 1680 in Delhi, ₹ 1802.50 in Kolkata, ₹ 1640 in Mumbai and ₹ 1852 in Chennai. However, the rates of domestic cylinders have not changed.

2. News for petroleum companies

Amidst the rising price of crude oil, the government has increased the windfall tax on petroleum crude. On the other hand, windfall tax on diesel export and ATF has been reduced. Petrol has been kept out of its scope. After three consecutive increases, there has been a brake on the increase in ATF. The price of ATF has decreased by Rs 1074/KL. However, you are unlikely to see any impact on air fares as fares are expensive due to high demand and the largest carrier IndiGo has also imposed fuel surcharge.

3. BSE Transaction Charges

Transaction charges on trading in the equity derivatives segment on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) have increased. This will directly impact traders and retail investors. The new changes will be implemented on S&P BSE Sensex options, especially immediate expiry contracts. This is only for S&P BSE Sensex options. There has been no change in transaction charges in other equity derivative contracts.

4. GST Challan

There is a new rule on GST invoice. Businesses with turnover above Rs 100 crore will have to upload GST invoice on the e-invoice portal within 30 days.

5. Kindle File

Amazon has stopped the transfer of Mobi files on Kindle. You will no longer be able to send Mobi files via email or to Kindle on iOS, Android, Windows or Mac through the “Send to Kindle” feature. You can send files in newly supported formats like EPUB.
