New Rules From August: Many rules are changing in the month of August, which can affect your monthly expenses. This includes UPI to LPG prices.

Like every month, many rules are going to change in the month of August as well. While LPG prices have come down from August 1, some UPI related rules have changed. While the rule of FASTag annual pass is going to be implemented from August 15. All these changes will affect the pockets of the people. Let’s know what is changing from the month of August.

LPG commercial cylinder prices reduced

Oil marketing companies have cut the prices of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinders (LPG Price Cut) by Rs 33.50 across the country. This new price has come into effect from August 1 i.e. today. However, no change has been made in the price of LPG yet. The price of commercial gas cylinder has become Rs 1631.50 in Delhi, Rs 1734.50 in Kolkata, Rs 1582.50 in Mumbai and Rs 1789 in Chennai.

UPI rules changed

From today, many new rules are being implemented regarding UPI. If you use Paytm, PhonePe, GPay or any other payment third platform, then the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) has changed some rules to provide better payment service. NPCI has imposed some new limitations. Now there will be a limit on balance check, status refresh and other things.

SBI credit card

This can be a big shock for SBI card holders, because from August 11, SBI is going to stop a service. SBI has decided to stop the free air accident insurance cover available on many co-branded credit cards. Currently, SBI, UCO Bank, Central Bank, PSB, Karur Vysya Bank, Allahabad Bank along with some ELITE and PRIME cards offer insurance of Rs 1 crore or Rs 50 lakh, which will be discontinued from August 11.

FASTag Annual Pass

Now from August 15, 2025, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is going to introduce a new FASTag annual pass for private vehicles. Under this annual pass, 200 tolls will be free, for which a fee of Rs 3000 will have to be paid. This pass will be valid for one year or a maximum of 200 trips. The purpose of this pass is to make the way to and fro easier.

 PNB KYC

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has requested its customers to update their KYC information before August 8, 2025 to run their bank account properly. PNB said that this update is as per RBI guidelines.

Revision in ATF rates

From August 1, i.e. today, the price of Air Turbine Fuel (ATF) has also changed. After the new revision, the price of ATF in Delhi is Rs 92,021.93 per kilolitre. In Kolkata it is Rs 95,164.90 per litre, in Mumbai it is Rs 86,077.14 per litre and in Chennai it is Rs 95,512.26 per litre. These prices are for domestic airlines. Along with the change in the price of ATF, changes are also seen in the air fare.

Bank Holiday

Banks are going to remain closed for 15 days in the month of August. Sunday and Saturday holidays are also included in this. Apart from this, banks in different states are going to remain closed on different days due to festivals and other reasons.
