According to media reports, in the recent meeting of NJCS unions and SAIL management in Delhi, a big decision has been taken regarding BSP employees. Under this, it has been decided in the meeting to give pay scale of pending wage settlement from January 1, 2017. The arrears of the difference between the same new pay scale and the old pay scale will be given from April 1, 2020 till now, along with the salary received in August. In such a situation, there is every possibility that the employees will be given arrears of 39 months.
According to media reports, there will be a sub-committee meeting of NJCS in the first week of August to give arrears and in which the decision will be taken when and in how many installments the arrears will be given. The decision on night allowance and other allowances will also be taken in the same meeting. The meeting of the sub-committee regarding the wages of contract workers will also be held soon. The decision of the suspended and transferred employees to other plants will also be decided by the director-in-charge of the plant.
SK Baghel, general secretary of Steel Employees Union INTUC, said that it was due to the efforts of INTUC union that 39 months arrears of wage settlement was agreed upon. In the first week of August, it will be decided in the meeting of the sub-committee when it will be found. At the same time, he said that if the alliance of INTUC and Shramik Manch wins more than 51 percent votes in Bhilai Steel Plant, then many facilities will be restored under the local agreement. Along with the implementation of the new incentive scheme of Rs 10,500, the DR scheme And other facilities will be negotiated at the local level.
