Along with the development of passenger facilities, Delhi Metro has also made rapid progress in the construction of metro stations. 135 metro stations have been built in 8 years, while Delhi Metro is working on the construction of at least two dozen new metro stations on different routes.

The capital of the country is developing at a fast pace. In the past, while handing over houses to the poor in Delhi, PM Modi had said that when our government came to power in 2014, the metro used to run only on the 190 kilometer route in Delhi-NCR. Today, the expansion of Metro in Delhi-NCR has increased to about 400 kms.

Work on two dozen new metro stations –

He told that in the last 8 years from 2014 to 2022, 135 new metro stations have been built in Delhi. At the same time, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation is also constructing about two dozen new metro stations on different routes. Due to continuous expansion in Metro facilities, every day passengers are saving money and time is also being saved.

Metro trains being converted from 6 to 8 coaches-

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has started the first 8-coach metro train on the Red Line on the previous day. This metro is running between 34 kilometer long Rithala to Shaheedsthal New Bus Adda station. According to DMRC, currently there are 39 metro trains with 6 coaches on the Red Line. Two metro trains with 6 coaches are being converted into 8 coach trains. Trains with 8 coaches are also being run on many other routes.

336 trains in the metro fleet

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation currently has a fleet of 336 metro trains, out of which 176 trains have 6 coaches. Whereas, 138 metro trains are equipped with the facility of 8 coaches. In which more passengers can travel due to more seating capacity. At the same time, DMRC also has 22 such metro trains which have only 4 coaches.
